We are ready for the future with the e-Fuels

What is e-Fuel?

E-Fuels, also known as synthetic fuels, are produced by capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air and combining it with hydrogen, usually generated from renewable energy. This process, known as Power-to-Liquid (PtL), offers a promising alternative to traditional fossil fuels, as they can be used in existing vehicles without the need for significant infrastructure modifications.

The e-Fuels are therefore 100% compatible with existing liquid fuel and heating engines/burners and fleets.

The drive for e-Fuels in Germany is not only aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but also at boosting the economy and technological innovation. Major automotive and energy companies are working closely together on pilot and commercial-scale projects to bring this technology to market effectively.

Advantages provided by e-Fuels:

Sustainability

E-Fuels are produced from renewable energy sources, which makes them an environmentally friendly option.

Compatibility

They can be used in conventional vehicles without engine modification, making them a viable solution for the transition to more sustainable mobility.

Emission reductions

When burned, e-Fuels emit fewer pollutants than traditional fossil fuels, which contributes to improved air quality.

The e-Fuels reinforce international energy cooperation and secure Germany as a business location

  • Germany cannot meet its energy needs solely from CO2-neutral sources and is therefore heavily dependent on renewable energy imports. With e-fuels, this is economically and technologically possible.

  • E-fuels can be used worldwide. This means that developing countries can also establish CO2-neutral energy solutions. At the same time, international energy cooperation is promoted.

  • Germany’s world leadership in engine manufacturing, including the medium-sized supplier industry, will be preserved; hundreds of thousands of jobs will be safeguarded.

  • German engineers are world leaders in the development of power-to-X technology, which can be used to produce e-Fuels. This will strengthen the German export economy and create more than 470,000 additional jobs.

Los e-Fuels son rápidamente utilizables y versátiles

  • The e-Fuels can be used with conventional combustion engines and energy-efficient condensing boilers. They can thus be used in around 58 million vehicles as well as for the efficient heating of millions of German households.

  • The flexible logistical distribution network in place enables e-Fuels to reach the market and consumers quickly.

  • E-Fuels can be easily blended with conventional liquid fuels (1 to 100%).

  • E-Fuels are universally suitable for all means of transport: cars, trucks and aircraft. In addition, they can be used as a substitute for crude oil in the chemical industry.

  • In aviation and shipping, in construction, agriculture and forestry, and in large segments of heavy transport, there is no technically feasible alternative for the use of e-Fuels.

Simka: Our brand in Germany

At Inpro, we have a branch in Germany, Simka, located in the city of Hanau. Simka, founded in 1959, has more than 60 years of experience in the design and manufacture of equipment for the energy industry, standing out for the exceptional quality of its equipment for the transfer of liquid fuels.

We offer monitored solutions for the transfer of Diesel, Biodiesel (HVO and e-Fuel), Methanol, Kerosene and other fuels. We know the German market inside out and operate with the efficiency of a local company. In addition, thanks to our large warehouse in Hanau, we are able to deliver quickly and efficiently throughout Germany.

Our future-proof devices are compatible with both HVO and e-Fuel:

Inpro-Simka has extensive experience in providing energy solutions for critical facilities using liquid fuels such as HVO. Our equipment is 100% compatible with this biofuel and e-fuels.

Buy e-Fuels: Where to get e-Fuels?

E-Fuels are already on the market, although they are still at an early stage of development. Currently, their cost is higher than that of conventional fossil fuels.

Currently, e-Fuels are not available in large quantities in Germany, but some companies are already producing and distributing them, and availability varies by region. In addition, several car manufacturers are developing e-Fuels and have announced partnerships with producers.

To purchase e-Fuels, it is recommended to contact local energy companies or petrol station operators to verify the current or future availability of these products.
